Presenting the webinar will be Sree Balaji, the Chief Executive Officer of iLink Systems and Piyush Prakash, Group Manager at iLink Systems. Microsoft is co-sponsoring this webcast. On asked why one should consider attending this webinar, Piyush said “Now more than ever, government agencies at the state and local levels are looking for efficient ways to deliver current and contextual information online on critical topics and services to their residents. To help with this situation, iLink has recently introduced the “GIS Mapping Applications Framework.” It is a reusable framework which allows easy creation and deployment of intuitive, visual, map-based solutions that can cover social services, health services, public safety, schools, arts, recreation, and more. Utilizing Bing Maps for visualization, the framework uses Microsoft technologies such as Silverlight 3, Windows Azure and SQL Azure. The webinar will describe the framework and also show sample applications.”
