Barrie, ON - October 17, 2006 – It may be Fashion Week 2006 in Toronto, but ‘Portrait of a Misfit’ will make sure that models rock the catwalk just north of the city. Barrie’s own Imago Boutique and Zine presents a fashion show as unique as the models in it. This event features underground fashion and do-it-yourself designers styled by Sandra Roberts, Imago’s brain child. ‘Portrait of a Misfit’ aims to bring awareness to an ever growing new age of expression, working in close collaboration with Barrie’s independent fashion community to create an amazing visually driven event. With the buzz generated from this phenomenal event, ‘Portrait of a Misfit’ endeavours to foster independent music and fashion creativity both locally and internationally. ‘Portrait of a Misfit’ promotes up-and-coming models, make-up and hair stylists and cutting edge local designers including: Bully, Eryn Reid, Playdead Cult, Toxic Vision, and Brandon R. Dwyer.

Hosted by glam rocker Robin Black, ‘Portrait of a Misfit’ will shock everyone’s senses. Robin’s experience in the music, fashion and television industry as well as his value of presentation will keep viewers entertained throughout the evening.

‘Portrait of a Misfit’ will take place at Oscar’s Restaurant in downtown Barrie. Aside from the VIP seating and space for press, there will be no discount or promotional tickets available for this event. Tickets are only available through www.ticketbreak.com and Imago Boutique. Only 100 seats are available, making the evening intimate and very exclusive. ‘Portrait of a Misfit’ promises to be a high energy event that is curiously romantic, very sexy and full entertainment.
