First organization of its kind dedicated to the special needs and challenges of both working and aspiring ghost writers worldwide seeks charter members

First organization of its kind dedicated to the special needs and challenges of both working and aspiring ghost writers worldwide seeks charter members

SYRACUSE, New York, USA— Until recently, there was no one place for ghost writers or those interested in ghost writing to go for information and support. Now there’s an association that plans to serve both active ghost writers and those who aspire to be: The International Association of Professional Ghost Writers.

Besides providing a free biweekly newsletter to anyone who subscribes, the IAPGW offers two levels of paid membership: an Associate Level for writers who wish to embark on a career in ghost writing, and a Professional Level for experienced ghost writers. Association benefits include a members-only ghost writing job board, a directory where professional level members can post their qualifications and contact information, discounts on Web hosting and office supplies, and upcoming teleclasses on topics of interest to ghost writers.

Because the association is in its infancy, charter members joining at either level before March 1, 2010 will be eligible for additional benefits: a substantial discount on membership dues for the first two years, a full one-year membership refund guarantee, and a six-month head start on earning commissions for referring new paying members to the ghost writers’ association through the IAPGW partner program.

According to founder and Executive Director Mary Anne Hahn, the IAPGW mission extends beyond educating and supporting ghost writers. “One of the main goals of the association is to make it the number one go to place for ghost writers to connect with clients who need their services. Many people have no idea how to hire or work with the right ghost writer. Our aim is to take the mystery out of that process, so that more people will feel at ease about working with us.”
