Daily Newspapers Choose Smart Connection Enterprise

ZAANDAM, THE NETHERLANDS (October 11, 2006) — More and more newspapers around the world are switching to WoodWing Software’s Smart Connection Enterprise editorial system, the industry’s leading solution for Adobe® InDesign® and InCopy®.

There are now over 40 newspapers in 11 countries that have installed Smart Connection Enterprise. At IfraExpo WoodWing is announcing the addition of four new daily newspapers to its fast-growing list of newspaper publishers using Smart Connection Enterprise.

Der Landbote, one of the biggest regional newspapers is Switzerland. This daily newspaper focuses on Winterthur and the northern part of Zurich and is published by Ziegler Druck und Verlags AG.

Die Thurgauer Zeitung, is a classical daily newspaper in Switzerland with over 200 years of history. This well respected newspaper is published by Thurgauer Medien AG which was acquired in 2005 by Tamedia AG, one of the biggest Swiss media companies.

Nederlands Dagblad, a top-10 Dutch daily newspaper and the 3rd Dutch daily newspaper that switched to Smart Connection Enterprise. Nederlands Dagblad has a rich history stretching back six decades. The newspaper contains a mix of local news and features, along with national and international coverage. Nederlands Dagblad is one of the few newspapers in the world that is growing in circulation.

Periodística Meridiano S.A. de C.V., a major Mexican daily owned by Cia that’s the leading newspaper in the state of Guanajuato, serving the six biggest cities in the state. There are six morning editions of the newspaper with a combined readership of more than 1.5 million people.
