Since the October 2009, Endless Summer GmbH from Zurich offers the possibility to compare surf camp’s and surf school’s services. On its platform surf-holiday.com, independent ratings are used for the first time.
Independent information without advertising
This new surf information portal is a weighty advantage, especially for land-locked surfers. The online offer is available in German and English for now.
surf-holiday.com is perspicuously structured, clearly arranged and based on the current technology standard. Advertising of a third party does not exist, because the focus is solely on the particular offer. Unlike the website of a destination, surf-holiday.com does not sell a service, but provides exclusively information.
Customer-Ratings as added value
Concerning the motivation to launch this project, Matthias Drabe, co-owner of surf-holiday.com, says: “Because of my long-time experience in the boardtravel sector, I know that many customers are really insecure choosing a destination. There are so many factors to consider – for example the climate, seasonal wave height, the quality of the courses, accommodation etc. – that a definite decision for a certain surf camp can get pretty complicated.”
surf-holiday.com provides people, that are interested in surfing, with an extensive information possibility in two respects: On the one hand, they learn everything worth knowing about a surf camp or a surf school. On the other hand – and therein lies the actual added value of this website – also the customer’s rating of a particular offer can be accessed. The destinations get evaluated by surfers, which already have been on the spot and want to share their experiences actively on the platform. This system guarantees an independent rating.
In favour of a quick and uncomplicated search for a rating, surf enthusiasts can choose between two different search options. One is a direct selection, the other helps to orientate. In this mode, travellers can enter the favoured destination, inter-ests and personal preferences. A special search filter lists the according offers afterwards.
Wavriders surf online to their waves. So that surf holidays already start in the own flat and surprises on the spot are exclusively positive.
Endless Summer GmbH was established in 2009 by two young surf enthusiasts from Zurich. It was their goal to provide newcomers and advanced surfers with an extensive help for their surf holiday planning.
With surf-holiday.com, they realised this ambitious project successfully. The information platform is centred around a rating system, that assesses a surf school’s or surf camp’s different services totally independent. This new online information is, particularly for land-locked beginners, a huge advantage.
