Boris Ruf and Jan Schulz-Hofen, two entrepreneurs from Berlin, Germany, launch Planio, a web-based software solution that enables small and medium-sized enterprises to modernize internal IT structures and optimize the day to day business.

"Small and medium enterprises finally need to arrive with their IT in the new century, too", demands Schulz-Hofen, initator of Planio. "Today, valuable time is lost in many companies because of misrouted e-mail, outdated document versions or untraceable information." This is where Planio jumps in.

Planio is an easy-to-use software that helps to make the daily business of small and medium-sized enterprises more structured and efficient. Several field-proven features that suit the task of planning and running projects have been integrated, such as a ticket system, collaborative file management, role based access control, wikis and forums, a news system, milestones and automatically generated gantt charts and roadmaps. It‘s not without pride that Ruf and Schulz-Hofen call their software solution "a small SAP", and they know exactly what they talk about. Both software engineers are graduates from the Hasso-Plattner-Institute in Potsdam, Germany, which has been established by SAP co-founder Hasso Plattner.

At 9 Euro per month for the smallest plan, Planio is affordable even for companies with limited budgets. Further, due to fair terms of just 30 days, investments, comparable software solutions would cause, fall away.
