Polystar to deliver LTE/4G Signalling Monitoring to TeliaSonera
Polystar will deploy its pioneering LTE network monitoring solution to support Netcom managing their first-ever launched 4G commercial services. With the monitoring system in place, Netcom will be able to proactively manage the services, which require high transmission speed and capacity, thereby addressing the exploding demand of mobile broadband in the Nordic countries.
“Polystar will deliver network-wide monitoring of the LTE/4G traffic at Netcom in Norway. This is an important order for us, as it proofs that Polystar has the right technology and competence to even better assist Netcom in their endeavour to deliver the best possible quality to their Customers,” says Fredrik Edwall, Regional Sales Director at Polystar OSIX. “The unique MediaProbe interface, developed by Polystar, is an important factor in this order, on top of the advanced software that decodes and structures the signalling.”
“Netcom has chosen Polystar to deliver an extension of the existing network monitoring system to cover the LTE part of the network. Netcom has a unique OSS system for QoS and service assurance and we want to incorporate LTE/4G in this structure as well,” says Lars Erik Gjervan, OSS Manager at Netcom. “Polystar has the right components in their system architecture, with the MediaProbe and software to enable this.”
