CSC NAMES DONALD A. THORPE VICE PRESIDENT OF CAPTURE FOR APPLIED TECHNOLOGY GROUP

India, 15th January 2010 – CSC (NYSE: CSC) has named Donald A. Thorpe, Vice President of Capture for its North American Public Sector (NPS) Applied Technology Group (ATG). He will report to Alan B. Weakley, President of the NPS ATG.

In this role, Thorpe will lead the ATG Capture and Proposal organization responsible for new strategic business opportunities and proposal development. In addition, he will oversee the creation and implementation of business strategies and solutions for large-scale bids.

“Don brings more than 22 years of operational and business development experience within the industry as well as a distinguished career in the U.S. Army,” said Weakley. “With a proven capture track record and the ability to motivate and lead teams, he is a strong addition to our executive leadership team and will deliver business value to both clients and CSC.”

Thorpe most recently served as capture executive for NPS. In this position, he was responsible for the strategic direction of significant bids and successfully led efforts that yielded close to $2 billion in contract awards. His experience spans multiple federal clients, including the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army, General Services Administration, Federal Aviation Administration and others.

Thorpe retired as Lieutenant Colonel from the U.S. Army. He holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Campbell College, and his master’s degree in systems management from the University of Southern California.
