Mrs. Panga Vathanakul Awarded Patriarchal Medal of the Russian Orthodox Church
For two hundred years, the Church was deprived from its sovereignty (since Peter the Great) and was ruled by a State Senate. Just before the 1917 revolution, the patriarchal system was restored and historical rights of the Church were returned back.
