Wave Away Your Worries

We are excited to announce that Pineapple Island will be hosting free mindfulness sessions at Boardmasters festival, to celebrate their collaboration with the Wave Project charity. Guided mindfulness sessions will be held three times per day, between the 8th and 12th August, at Watergate Bay in Cornwall.

The growing mental health crisis in the UK is affecting more and more young people.. The mental health charity Mind claims 1 in 4 people will experience mental health problems each year. Pineapple Island is hoping to show young festivalgoers that just 10 minutes of mindfulness has enormous benefits to one’s wellbeing. They will be hosted at 10:30am, 12:30pm, and 3:30pm every day of the festival. Each session is limited to eight people, so register quickly to avoid disappointment.

Mindfulness can be done anywhere, at any time, even at a loud music festival. After the 10-minute sessions are over, the participants will receive a free Pineapple Island goody bag with handmade bracelets, anklets, dream catchers and other exciting products.

Pineapple Island supports the Wave Project charity as they use surf therapy to help young people reduce anxiety, stress and negativity.

I feel strongly about raising money and awareness for the charity and striving towards a goal of making the world a happier place.
