July 2018…// Hilton has launched an innovative web platform that offers a range of new and exclusive experiences across its luxury brands, Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts and Conrad Hotel & Resorts. The website, where experiences are filtered by the senses, will give guests unprecedented access to local tastes, sights and sounds, including camel rides to the Great Pyramids of Giza and strolling through old Cairo.
A recent global survey of luxury travellers by Hilton found that almost half (47%) of global travellers have planned most of their itinerary before travelling and that 20 percent use a loyalty app or digital concierge to do this. With the launch of the new Luxury Experiences platform (www.explore.hilton.com/luxury) guests will be able to book exclusive, authentic, local experiences in destinations all over Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Highlights of the Experiences Include:
• At Conrad Cairo guests will be guided around the city to understand the culture of Cairo through its architecture, minarets and bazaars. The day begins at the imposing Bab al Futuh, then along Moez Street, the oldest in Cairo, climbing towers, passing through lively souks, soaking up the atmosphere of caravansarai. Refreshed at the Conrad, the guests’ evening is completed with dinner on the Jayda Nile Terrace overlooking the river with a special Egyptian menu, the finest shisha and Oriental entertainment.
• Guests at Conrad Cairo will have their steed selected at the camel stables near the Pyramids. On board guests will lope through the desert enjoying the majestic sight of the Great Pyramids of Giza as they shift and shape in the sunlight. Serious riders might gallop over the sands, novices can take a leisurely stroll, either way this is a new perspective on the desert landscape. At the end of the day guests will choose their favourite soothing spa treatment at the Conrad Health Club centre.
