The solutions demonstrated at IBC will include:

VOD-in-a-Box: an award winning solution includes everything required to launch a global, on-demand service in under six weeks. It helps supersize content owners and passion brands, enabling them to break into the market, scale-up and reach audiences with meaningful and relevant content with unprecedented agility across multiple platforms. Cloud TV Platform: an end-to-end, white label solution that enables broadcasters, platform operators, sports rights holders and distributors to rapidly deploy next-generation TV Everywhere services across multiple screens and territories. Including support for unlimited live channels, automated catch-up with backwards scrolling EPG, and comprehensive user and entitlement management. It is built on a suite of core modules which provide unrivalled flexibility and power across the entire delivery workflow

Live-2-VOD: an automated solution fully optimised for the sports, teleshopping and entertainment industries, enabling broadcasters to make video content instantly available for on-demand viewing across multiple platforms and screens. It enables broadcasters to create new revenue streams from instantly available catch-up highlights and on-demand content from live. This solution can take a video feed from a live linear stream, EPG channel or data source and supports DRM to ensure content rights are respected.

Hybrid TV: a solution that Increases a channel’s exposure by leveraging the increased interactivity available with the advanced IP-based capabilities of a range of hybrid TV platforms. This solution enables UK channel owners to extend reach on Freeview Play, YouView, Freesat & EE TV over IP. The solution provides an HbbTV-compliant, white-label HTML-5 applications, content metadata submission and the end-to-end video workflow needed to provide live streaming, automated catch-up TV and rich VOD experiences cross-platform.

“With the constant changing of the TV and video landscape, we’re helping many broadcasters and sports rights holders to launch advanced OTT services on-time and on-budget,” said Dan Finch, CCO, Simplestream. “Our experience of launching services globally and at scale for channels of all sizes means that we know what broadcasters need and sometimes even more importantly what they don’t need. IBC sees us show our full portfolio of services and solutions that enable providers of all sizes to deliver a wide range of OTT services from one unified cloud-based platform, generating returns at a fraction of the costs associated with traditional broadcast methods of delivery. If speed-to-market and your margin matters, visit us at IBC!” concluded Finch.
