Vivid presentation of the Heimtextil Trend 2010/11
Carlin International with a creative interpretation of the Heimtextil Trend UNI[RE]VERSE in the ForumLecture forum with renowned speakers on subjects of topical interest within the framework of the Trend presentation
Held on four days every January, Heimtextil is the first trade fair of the year and a vital platform for manufacturers, dealers, designers and planners. It is the most important marketing and ordering venue for the sector at the beginning of the year and presents the innovations and trends for the subsequent 18 months. In keeping with its trend¬setter role, Heimtextil 2010 presents the 20th Heimtextil Trend. The motto of the Trend for 2010/11 is UNI[RE]VERSE , a theme characterised by opposites and controversies. The international Heimtextil Trend Table with representatives of design studios from France, Great Britain, The Netherlands, Japan, Germany and, for the first time, Sweden, defined four main trends: ‘Futurustic’, ‘Temptation’, ‘Hypernature’ and ‘Intuition’. These trends place the spotlight on sustainable eco-luxury, tradition & the modern, nature & innovation and spontaneous creativity. New this year is that each of the four trends for the new season has been spilt into three tendencies – to ensure greater clarity for their practical implementa¬tion in the market.
Carlin International stages the Heimtextil Trend in the Forum
The four trend themes that emerged from the numerous inspirations and influences will be presented in the Forum, Level 0, during the fair. The trend show offers visitors an overview and a preview of how these trends can be put into practice. This year, the Carlin Inter¬national design studio and trend expert Mayouri Sengchanh are responsible for the creative interpretation of the trends.
“We aim to surprise people. On the one hand, we want to create an artistic presentation. On the other hand, we want to remain down-to-earth. And in this way stimulate creativity”, explains Mayouri Sengchanh. “The result is an attractive blend of unequivocal information and inspiration, which will stimulate the nerves and emotions”, adds Sengchanh.
Lecture forum on topical trends
In addition to the trend presentation, there will be a series of lectures on subjects of topical interest to the design sector. Besides the re¬nowned members of the Trend Table, other designers of international repute from many different fields will discuss trend facets, interiors in 2011 and visions for 2012. The speakers come, for example, from Italy, France, The Netherlands, Great Britain and Germany, and will include Mara Michel of Futurize trend agency and General Manager of the Association of German Fashion and Textile Designers (Verband Deutscher Mode- und Textildesigner – VDMD), Gianni Bologna of Filo and Fulvio Alvisi, General Manager of Alvisi e Alvisi, Jennifer Castoldi, CEO and Chief Creative Director of Trendease International LLC, and Gottfried Pank, Creative Director of mode information.
The special Heimtextil Trend website at http://www.heimtextil-trends.com contains information about the latest trends, presents the most important subjects in the Trend Blog and includes an archive with all the Heimtextil trends since 1991/92.
