World's 1st Reusable Smart Straw alternative to plastic
The smart app and plastic straw alternative that will ‘challenge to change” bad habitsElo Labs Inc. a Canadian company is launching their worlds 1stELO smart straw system on KickStarter. ELO stands for earth, land, ocean. ELO Labs states the “smart straw” is a combination of their ELO branded anodized aluminum straws and what they call their “Bad Habit Mobile App”. A world’s 1st product launch that breaks the bad habits of our use of plastic disposable straws that have been “baked into the fabric and DNA of our culture”Peter Scott founder noted that from the 1960’s plastic straw use was an extension of “Big Plastic” and fast food’s popularity to produce very inexpensive one time use disposable straws and our populations thirst for icy beverages!
The smart straw system uses the science and studies of starting and breaking bad habits using the 1960’s Psycho-Cybernetics." It's a self-help book and in it, you find out you can create or break a habit in just 21+ days. We use this logic and push the idea to use the ELO smart straw in replacement of plastic straws anywhere they are served or offered.
The Bad Habit app is the alarm reminder. The smart side of ELO that the user sets up when they most likely will have a plastic straw experience. Basically Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and late-night snacks as option for a period of 21 to 30+ days or more. The result being, you will have a greater appreciation and awareness of our global plastic straw crisis and to have a reusable straw alternative on you in your car, home, work or nearby. ELO comes with 3 straws, so you have enough to always have on hand!
The best part of the ELO smart straw is that it has a social community function Called the “Challenge to Change”. The userlinks their social media to the Bad Habit app. You then “TAP THE APP” a button that you tap every time you use the smart straw, this is uploaded to a global straw counter, so you can see how many plastic straws are being replaced by ELO smart straws. The app also provides you with daily affirmations, green news and factoids surrounding plastic conservation while you are doing your Challenge to Change. You upload the ELO experience via your social ELO links and share. This creates the movement and awareness socially. The KickStarter campaign runs through till late July. The challenge to change begins in September.
ELO Labs is the company behind the smart straw alternative to plastic straws. We provide a mobile app that allows users to break bad habits towards plastic straws. The ELO straw is a very useful aluminum straw in 4 colors.
