Kaiser Permanente and Meredith Corporation Experience Successful Contract Management Software Implementations with Ecteon

NASHVILLE ─ June 18, 2018 ─ Ecteon Inc., a contract management software provider, completes two successful contract software implementations for Kaiser Permanente (KP) and Meredith Corporation, (Meredith) and both have noted marked value in their Contraxx implementations. Ecteon’s Contraxx solution enables organizations to optimize the lifetime value of business relationships by centralizing, standardizing and systemizing the entire contract lifecycle, from creation through expiration or renewal.

For Kaiser Permanente Northwest, operating in the states of Oregon and Washington, Ecteon was engaged to help reduce the risk and time associated with member contract document creation and management. Kaiser Permanente’s Northwest Contract Administration department produces Evidence of Coverage documents for hundreds of thousands of members — insurance customers and employer groups that purchase insurance coverage. These contracts include benefit information, appeal processes, how to find a doctor, and how to enroll and terminate coverage.

“Ecteon’s product was the right price and had the technical depth to satisfy the level of complexity and customization we absolutely required,” explained Jessica John, contracts and benefits administration manager for KP’s Health Plan Operations department.

Meredith Corporation is an American media conglomerate based in Des Moines, Iowa, USA. The company has two divisions: National Media and Local Media. Joshua Pila, general counsel of the Local Media Group (responsible for the television station business units), spearheaded the division-wide adoption of Ecteon’s Contraxx software to achieve two utilization goals.

“We created a central managed repository, with powerful search function, so we could set up approaching event alerts like expirations and autorenewal dates so that our business-to-business relations would not experience bumps or losses due to missed deadlines.”

And, for the second utilization goal, Josh explained: “We now have control for recurring types of contracts, for employees for example, based on our standard template form. Prior to Contraxx, a variety of employee contract forms had been executed – when someone was hired or switched jobs but forgot to route through Legal. We have now solved that type of template variability with Contraxx.”
