Vulvox and Telomolecular agree to research and development alliance

Telomolecular Corporation and Vulvox Nanobiotechnology Corporation have finished negotiations on a research and development contract to investigate new methods of manufacturing DNA, RNA, and DNA circles.
Telomolecular has patent rights to DNA circle technology invented by Dr. Eric Kool at Stanford University. DNA circles reactivate dormant stem cells that have lost telomoeres as a result of aging. A large variety of senescent stem cells have been shown to be regenerated- displaying youthful phenotypes after they have been dosed with DNA circles.

Scientists at Telomolecular and Vulvox expect simultaneous regeneration of reproductive capacity of a large variety of stem cells in people leading to rejuventaion of skin, heart cells in heart attack victims, blood vessel endothelial cells in atheroscerosis and arteriosclerosis, and all other cells that have lost reproductive capability as result of shortened telomeres.

Telomolecular scientists have bred a transgenic cow expressing DNA circles in its' cells and tissues. They have noted that the cow has displayed a 50% reduction of the symptoms of aging!

Telomolecular has given a contract to Vulvox to research and develop large scale methods of producing DNA and RNA molecules in bigger amounts than ever obtained by solid phase chemical synthesis. Vulvox will receive royalties from sales of DNA circles and gene therapy molecules manufactured by its' process. Vulvox President Neil Farbstein predicts that "We can get price of production down to single digits per kilogram of raw oligonucleotides when we scale up fermentation to multi-ton batches. After processing and purification it will probably cost less than ten dollars to manufacture a gram of DNA by the proprietary process we are developing." The current production cost is about $100.00 per gram and up.

Vulvox is developing the process to manufacture DNA circles for Telomolecular's research program and for manufacturing DNA for gene therapy, and RNA for silencer RNA and aptamer applications. The DNA and RNA molecules can also be used to manufacture gene probes, and in the growing nanotechnology and materials science DNA and RNA markets.

"The prospect of developing a real drug that will make us look and feel 2 or 3 decades younger is very exciting to me." said Vulvox President Neil Farbstein. Telomolecular expects to sell $100,000,000 worth of cosmoceuticals containing DNA circles in its' first year of sales. Telomolecular
expects people will pay $10,000 for a topically applied gene therapy treatment that makes them look much younger and that restores the elasticity and color of their skin.
