Biggest European IKEA store secured by MULTIEYE® Video Surveillance Software
Diepholz, 16th of November. The biggest IKEA store in Europe opened 4th of November 2009 in Odense, Denmark, trusts the MULTIEYE® Video Surveillance solutions made by artec technologies AG, Germany.As to Kenneth Filipsen, from the Distribution Company SafeVision/EET Nordic in Denmark: “This huge store covers more than 35.000 square meters on two levels. IKEA has chosen MULTIEYE® because they needed a scalable, reliable and intuitive easy to use system.”
Currently 62 megapixel cameras are installed throughout the two levels of the store and the parking area. To drive this massive number of cameras two Quad core servers running the new version of MULTIEYE HYBRID/NET Software as the hub of the “644 megapixel per second” installation. In the control room the security guards have access to all cameras from four 22” monitors.
The Management Software MULTIEYE® VideoCenter II collects all video feeds and displays them in an easy to control and monitor solution. Especially the intelligent Hotspot feature of MULTIEYE® VideoCenter II comes in handy during closing hours of the store.
