Urban Woman Magazine Launches 3rd Edition

Urban Woman Magazine Volume 3 offers deep insight into issues relating to gender equality, business and lots more.

“This edition exposes certain realities in the society with regards, to the acceptance of gender equality in the topic, ‘True Women Liberation Cannot Coexist With Organized Religion’. It is refreshing to have content that can spark conversations and cover topics rarely spoken about. This edition also saw Urban Woman Magazine delving into the lives of business women in Makoko, showing the world how these women build businesses and sustain their families even in a community built on water“, said Blessing Iyamadiken, the Editor-In-Chief.

On this issue we also have interviews with Ifeoma Fafunwa, the founder of IOpen Eye, and the producer of Hear Word! a production that is changing the way the society sees the African Woman. Also on this issue is Pelumi Shittu, a presenter on Ebony Life’s Moments Z, a youth focused program.

Urban Woman Magazine is a Nigerian magazine birthed in 2017, which aims at telling stories about the African Woman. We are showcasing the African woman, her beauty, fashion and lifestyle, challenges and successes to the world. We are also interested in speaking out against societal ills and most importantly, we are causing a shift from old beliefs and ideologies and preaching an acceptance of new lights in which our women ought to be seen.

With a mainly female audience, spanning the ages of 25 – 60, we are gradually becoming the number one voice for women in Africa. Our 48-paged issue is released every quarter and address issues affecting women in the African society.

The Editor In Chief is Blessing Iyamadiken, a true Urban Woman. She is a young passionate and intrinsically driven woman who wants to cause a change in the life of the African Woman and, this she does in different capacities in which she finds herself.
