Digta Station WLAN

Business technology magazine awards innovative product by Grundig Business Systems

14 October, 2009. London – The Digta Station WLAN, the wireless docking station for dictation machines by Grundig Business Systems (GBS), has been awarded the pan-European Business Info Editors Choice Award. James Goulding, editor of the British business technology and workplace magazine Business Info: “When deciding upon a Business Info Editors Choice Award I look at three factors: design, innovation and functionality. In the case of the Digta Station WLAN, this innovative approach and the functionality it delivers the user makes it a worthy winner.”

The Digta Station WLAN, which was introduced to the market in 2009, is the first WLAN station by a producer of dictation devices. It enables its users to send dictations quickly, totally independent of cords or a PC. “That’s what makes it the least complicated connection between dictation author and typist,” says GBS Managing Director Roland Hollstein.

The Digta Station WLAN can be used together with the mobile dictation devices Digta 420 and Digta 415 by GBS. To send a dictation to the typist, the user simply plugs his dictation device in at the station; data transfer is automatic. Dictations can be sent either over e-mail or FTP server to pre-stored addresses. With WLAN encryption, data transfer over a computer network is secure. Configuration is uncomplicated, and is done through the web browser. The Digta Station WLAN costs £275.20 (recommended retail price, excluding VAT).
