iPOS24 realised first german City-TV
Since September 17th 2009 "BOH-TV", Germany's first City-TV is running in Bocholt's city center.Together with the iPOS24 customer Mallvision and Bocholt‘s City Marketing the project, with the objective to establish a citizen-centered and locally-oriented city information system, has been successfully implemented.
The realization and commissioning was carried out with funds of the City initiative, "Ab in die Mitte" of North Rhine-Westphalia.
In addition to TFT displays at the mall „Shopping Arcades" the visitors of Bocholt's City will also be shown a versatile program both on a large LED screen and on more screens in store windows downtown and buildings of the city authorities.
This development is an investment into the future. „Our system and our concept can easily be implemented for other cities, "said Mark Tobias, Project Manager at Interactive Point of Sale GmbH. For this project we chose a flexible connection of iPOS clients over a UMTS network in cooperation with Vodafone. Therefore, we could guarantee a fast and flexible implementation of the project at various locations.
City-TV was realized by the digital signage provider „Interactive Point of Sales GmbH (iPOS24.tv). It is based on the in-house software solution, "Ariane". The software makes it possible to centrally control the latest information by means of the iPOS24 editing system and communicate them in real time via connected monitors to Bocholt‘s citizens and visitors.
In addition to the software "Ariane", BOH-TV also receives support and editorial services provided by iPOS24. In cooperation with Mallvision the full service provider „Interactive Point of Sale GmbH" allocates the latest news in politics, sports, weather and entertainment.
The content management as well as the partly production of local editorials is done by Mallvision, the operator of the TV system in Bocholt's Shopping Arcades. "With iPOS24 we have a simple and safe solution for carrying out communication activities in public places and at the point of sale," states Dirk Gubatz, managing director of Mallvision Europe GmbH. "We are therefore able to offer flexible solutions to enhance the attractiveness and promote sales for shopping centers and retailers.

The digital signage-supplier Interactive Point of Sale GmbH offers the Infotainment system „ARIANE" which allows to place information at the Point of Sale through a TV, plasma or LCD screen. Through a web interface customers can create individual broadcasting loops using various contents, such as product information, advertising clips, promotions or news, and bring offers and promotions in real-time on the screen in the branches. The latest topical editorial content, is provided every day by the iPOS24 editorial team and be integrated into the infotainment programme, „ARIANE" offers a subjectively felt added value to the end customer at the Point of Sale.
