Continued economic growth and the emergence of a new, consumption-oriented class have led to a growing market for high quality consumer goods in China. The annual China International Consumer Goods Fair (CICGF), 8-12 June 2007 in Ningbo, is already in its sixth year. This trade fair is China’s most important consumer goods far. It is a magnet for buyers and wholesalers from all regions of China and is supported by the Ministry of Commerce in Ningbo. Centre of attention are high quality consumer goods, from household textiles and garments, home appliances, office and leisure equipment and articles of daily use to decorations and gifts.
The sixth China International Consumer Goods Fair (CICGF) will occupy 70,000 m2. The emphasis is on the quality of the items on display. Both established and new companies will exhibit their products to buyers during the course of the five-day event. The number of visitors continues to grow. Around 15,000 international visitors and 20,000 traders will be looking for luxury goods for their respective markets.
