Create HTML5 digital magazines with 3D Issue v5.0

12-06-2011 03:38 PM CET | IT, New Media & Software

Press release from: 3D Issue

3D Issue (Letterkenny IRELAND 5th DECEMBER 2011) announce that their latest version of 3D Issue Lite, Professional, and Enterprise is now available to the market as the newly launched 3D Issue Digital Publishing Suite. 3D Issue Version 5.0 is the first to market HTML5 based conversion tool allowing for the reading of content on a multitude of devices

3D Issue is a digital publishing platform allowing for digital page flip publications to be created from owner content easily and affordably. The software was first launched in 2006 for the Mac as the first PDF to page-flip publishing software, and has since developed to its current 5th Version.

Version 5.0 of 3D Issue is a suite as also bundled in the package is a stand alone RSS and Web content to e-magazine converter, whilst the core functions of 3D Issue remain in allowing enterprises to create digital editions of their content quickly and with reader interactivity in mind.

The recent announcement by Adobe that they are to abandon their support for Flash mobile – makes the inclusion of HTML5 in 3D Issue both timely and entirely warranted as the new standard is soon to become the defacto format for publishing in this space.

HTML 5 is already in use to provide the look and feel of Apps in an on-line capacity without any need for downloading or 3rd party App stores, on iOS devices in particular any publication may be presented using 3D Issue as an App by adding an icon to the homes screen providing a new and effective way to present content. HTML5 has the benefit of the look and feel of an App at this early stage of its inception as the demise of the Flash format seems certain initially for the Mobile segment and undoubtedly later on the desktop.

The key features in 3D Issue V5 are

HTML5 version for mobile/tablets

Reach your audience on any device now including eReader devices

Blog and RSS to digital magazine tool

Publish quickly and easily with a built in upload feature

Enhance content with links & rich media – now including YouTube

Link to back editions and archives

SEO Friendly

Auto detection and placement of e-mail and website addresses

In April 2006 the market for digital publishing software to convert to ‘page-flip’ publications was in its infancy, Trinity innovations was founded with a goal of satisfying a need in the market which came to the attention of MD/Founder Paul McNulty namely publishers of content were looking to new mediums for their publications which required conversion and then a convenient means of delivery via the Internet.
