Peter Hyams, the remarkable writer, director and producer, spoke to indie writers and producers at a Sherwood Oaks College event in Santa Monica on July 15, 2011. His credits include 2010, Presidio, Time Cop, Beyond a Reasonable Doubt & The Star Chamber.

In the one hour event moderated by indie producer Tom Madigan, Peter Hyam discussed independent film funding, production and distribution. He described working with actors including the famous Steve McQueen, and he reviewed his career path from news man to name director.
