US Capital Partners has arranged a $4 million senior secured credit facility for a Florida-based construction and landsite development companySan Francisco, CA, May 27, 2011 -- US Capital Partners, LLC (“USCP”) has secured a $4 million senior secured credit facility for Steven Counts, Inc. (“Steven Counts”), headquartered in Summerfield, Florida. US Capital Partners is a private investment bank, direct lender, co-lender, and lead financial arranger that specializes in business loans for small to middle-market companies.
Established in 2000, Steven Counts is a landsite development company with extensive experience in the heavy construction industry. The company’s activities encompass asphalt paving and production, aggregate mining and processing, concrete block and ready-mix manufacturing, and full-service site development with in-house estimating and surveying.
The new credit facility arranged by USCP is designed to retire Steven Counts’s existing term loans with the bank, and will be used to support the company’s ongoing growth plans in line with the recovery of Florida’s infrastructure and construction industry.
“This was a challenging refinancing due to the nature of the sector itself, with much of Steven Counts’s business dependent upon progress billing,” said Jeffrey Sweeney, CEO and Managing Director of USCP. “The company had done a very good job surviving and growing out of the ‘Great Recession,’ but their lines of credit were capped and had no growth potential. The new loan facility arranged by USCP provided significant cash at close, after paying the bank out in full, as well as additional borrowing availability to keep this company growing.”
