NITI Aayog AIC Banasthali Incubation Program WOMENPreneur Grand Finale Winners Get INR One Lakh Each
Women make up over 48% of India's population and, yet, when it comes to India Inc's offices and factories, women are a miniscule minority as they comprise less than 2% of the workforce of name to reckon with companies in manufacturing, auto and process sectors. But no force can stop them from becoming successful entrepreneurs and reshape workforce numbers.WOMENPreneur – an incubation program of AIC Banasthali for aspiring women entrepreneurs aims to facilitate the creation of a community of innovators, entrepreneurs, investors, grant bodies and mentoring support to nurture startups at all stages including student startups. WOMENPreneur scheme was launched on 20 Dec 2017 and It is a matter of pride that over 200 startup proposals had flooded AIC Banasthali which was shortlisted to 40 out of which 35 participated in the 3 day Boot camp which was inaugurated on 13 Mar 2018.
Day 1 agenda focused on Building the Lean Business Model while Day 2 on Group Mentoring sessions and Day 3 on Pitching Sessions. Apart from the AIC Banasthali team, facilitators who came for the show included Mr Chintan Bakshi CEO Startup Oasis, Ms Aparna Mishra Founder Club Cafebiz, Mr Nitin Tailor Founder Serne Happiness Foundation, Mr Ravi Mathur VP RVCF, Mr GV Krishnagopal Founder Axis Livelihood Consultancy, Ms Suhani Mohan Founder Saral Design, Ms Sarika Narayan Retail & Craft Expert and Dr Shibani Ghosh Cofounder Parvarish Museum School.
From the Campuspreneur Category Ms Pooja Kaul with her Organika Beautifying Life came out with flying colours while from Social Venture category Ms Monica Pesswani with her mission with passion The Apprentice Project got the crowning glory and from Commercial Category Ms Manveen Kaur with her dream project PINQ was right on top. The winners got a cash award of Rs 1 Lakh each and 15 Startups were selected for 9 months incubation program at AIC Banasthali. CEO AIC Banasthali Mr Abhishek Pareer, Prof Harsh Purohit Dean Banasthali B School WISDOM, Prof KD Joshi Banasthali Design Centre and Prof BR Natarajan Banasthali Chemical Engineering graced the prize distribution function.
This event at AIC Banasthali is undoubtedly a milestone and benchmark in Women Entrepreneurship in India tomorrow.
