PREMIER Biosoft Announces the Release of SimLipid® 6.03 Facilitating Large-Scale Lipidomics Analysis Using High-Resolution Mass Spectrometers

Palo Alto, California -- March 14, 2018, PREMIER Biosoft today announced the release of SimLipid 6.03. The new version is designed to facilitate large-scale lipidomics analysis using data generated by High-Resolution Mass Spectrometers (HRMS) - FT-ICR, Orbitrap and time of flight (TOF) analyzers based Mass Spectrometers – - with mass accuracy below 5 ppm. HRMS provides several advantages in lipidomics studies, including high resolving power, increased mass accuracy and increased limits of detection.

SimLipid v6.03 enables high-resolution mass spectrometry lipidomic data analysis by faster raw data pre-processing and by using an efficient search engine for speedy database searches, resulting in an increased throughput. The key features included are:

Raw data or spectra list import from 2,000,000 scans/peaklists at a click of a button

Experimental design modeling for HRMS based lipidomics analysis that involves MS1 data averaging and alignment of m/z peaks across biological and technical replicates.

Database searches for up to 100,000 MS or MS/MS scans at a time in batch mode.

Lipid fingerprinting with greater accuracy by annotating the lipid species that were identified with high confidence using product ion data from tandem MS spectra

Multiple report layouts and filter criteria to export analysis results for Data Dependent Acquisition (DDA) and Data Independent Acquisition (DIA) tandem MS based lipidomic data analysis
