Press release from: Software & Support Media

Effectively bringing teams from different fields together is rarely easy. However, cooperation between teams is essential for holistic product development. That’s the theory behind DevOps, a concept championed by Patrick Debois in 2009.

DevOps offers the solution to problems existing in both the development (Devs) and
administrative (Ops) levels. The DevOps movement has developed substantially in the past few years, making fundamental changes to basic concepts in IT and how teams connect with one another in organizations. Nowadays, adopting DevOps is essential for staying competitive in the field.

DevOpsCon is the place to be to learn all about Continuous Delivery, Microservices, Docker, Clouds & Lean Business. This conference offers valuable insights into trending topics such as innovative infrastructure and modern lean business culture. You can benefit from more than 60 hands-on workshops, sessions and keynotes, presented by international speakers.

The Power Workshops are a great way to put new knowledge into practice. This year’s DevOpsCon features a number of workshops, including “From Zero to Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery” by Nir Koren. This workshop will help you understand the CI/CD concepts, mindset, and how to implement the practices that help to form the DevOps culture to implement CI/CD for software development. Nir will go over Git and GitHub, Maven basics and Jenkins installation and configuration. You will learn how to run a CI/CD process on a "Hello World" project that runs for each change in a Github.com demo repository.

Another great workshop is run by Julia Wester on “Winning at DevOps with Kanban”. This is a full-day, interactive workshop is for people new to Lean and Kanban. You will experience the thinking process that guides the visualization of your work and work processes, highlights internal and external pain points, and establishes pull and flow. Games, exercises and discussions will be used throughout the workshop to explore topics in detail. You will receive a certification of course completion at the end of the day.

Excited for the DevOpsCon already? Then join us as we enable shorter delivery cycles, faster changes of functionality and higher software quality! Be sure to register now to benefit from the great offers!
