Rewarding Student And Staff With Better Engagement Geneva College Awarded $252,465 Campus Consortium Mobile Campus Grant
Campus Consortium, the largest global education association of schools, colleges and universities, awards Geneva College a $252,465 grant to implement a mobile app for students and faculty. Located approximately 35 miles northwest of Pittsburgh, in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, Geneva College is a Christ-centered academic community that provides a comprehensive education to equip students for faithful and fruitful service to God and neighbor.Scott Barnes, Vice President of Information Technology Services/CIO, from Geneva College spoke about how the grant will be beneficial, noting, “We are very pleased to receive this grant from Campus Consortium. It will help us to provide a mobile app, primarily to our students but also to others interested in Geneva, with features such as the campus directory, emergency response, dining menus, news and events feeds, course catalogue and schedules, along with the applet development environment for students. This grant will provide valuable support to the Geneva community”.
The Campus Consortium Grant will enable Geneva College to build an official mobile app through the technology provider Unifyed. The mobile app will consist of 14 basic applets like Campus News, Emergency Numbers, Campus Events, Social Media, Parking, Dining etc. In addition, it will also feature Unifyed Applets for LMS, Academic, Financial Aid and Unifyed Campus Bulletin Board, What’s Up, etc.
