Olialia World Chairperson Mrs Anca Verma receives Women Empowerment Award

Former Supermodel & Miss Universe Romania ANCA VERMA wife of billionaire philanthropist Abhishek Verma, was awarded at a power-packed function in New Delhi, an award for her outstanding work in the field of Women Empowerment in India.

The function was organized by 'Women & Child Development Committee' in association with a NGO 'SheWings', at PHD Chamber of Commerce Auditorium in New Delhi, India.

Union Minister for Women and Child Development, Mrs. Maneka Gandhi was the Chief Guest of the function, alongwith several powerful bureaucrats and political personalities who were the Guests of Honour.

Mrs Gandhi addressed the need of empowering women in India with literacy, jobs creation and economic and social independence and how several welfare schemes run by her Ministry and assisted by NGOs such as SheWings can bring about a change in the mindset of the underprivileged sections of the society.
