FU International Academy Tenerife: Our opinion poll on the language courses shows positive results

The main activity of the FU International Academy Tenerife is the Teaching of Spanish as a Foreign Language. In the framework of our Quality Management programme, we give all our participants a questionnaire. We have just evaluated the last 6 months’ questionnaires and we can take pride in the results. We surveyed 252 pupils who had attended our language courses in the last six months. To answer the 12 points relating to the course structure, organisation, the teachers, facilities, etc., the participants could choose between very good, good, normal, not so good, and bad. We are proud to have achieved a satisfaction rate of 90%.

Pupils can choose between five different course types and on every course are no more than six pupils. We are able respond to every participant’s needs and this way we can achieve the best results. The opinion poll shows that we have chosen the best methods for a language course. 47% of the participants estimate the quality of the course as very good and another 47% as good. They are satisfied with the structure and with the wide range of the course topics. Furthermore, our well-qualified teachers were rated as very good by 62% and as good by 31%. They are able to transmit their enthusiasm for learning Spanish and place great emphasis on conversational skills.

The classes take place on the International Academy’s premises in Puerto de la Cruz, where we have 7 classrooms and 2 computer rooms. The participants felt at ease here: 53% rated the School as good and another 29% of the pupils as very good. All of them were satisfied with our staff at the Reception. Our classes start at 9.00 a.m.: 30% of the pupils liked the course timetable very much and for 52% it was good - because of the way classes are scheduled, they had enough time to enjoy Puerto de la Cruz and to make use of their new knowledge of the Spanish language.

The language school was founded in 1998 and belongs to the German F+U group of companies. FU International Academy runs courses for the Canary Islands Autonomous Government Institute of Education and Employment. It belongs to the ACCEE, which was founded in October 2002 and guarantees the quality of educational centres whose principle activity is the teaching of Spanish to foreigners.

Our academy possesses excellent facilities. We dispose of bright class rooms with a view up to Mount Teide, an auditorium for up to 60 people - with video beamer and Dolby-surround system - as well as two computer halls with high-speed internet connection.

FU International Academy is an education centre. The purpose of all our teachers is to help, to teach and to impart knowledge in different subjects.

We are specialized in language education to establish contacts between Tenerife and other countries. Our aim is to teach our language and culture to the foreign residents. For the best results we give lessons in small groups with a minimum of three and a maximum of eight persons. All our teachers are native speakers.
