Costume designer Soyon An takes home an Emmy for her work on Fox’s hot dance series, “So You Think You Can Dance.”

Los Angeles, CA (August 28, 2009) – Costume designer Soyon An takes home her first Emmy for her work as head designer on Fox’s hit dance TV series, So You Think You Can Dance. Soyon will receive her award at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards (part of the Primetime division) on Saturday September 12, 2009 at the Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE in Los Angeles, CA.

“It feels so incredible to have my work not only noticed but honored with an Emmy,” shares Soyon. “I am so thankful to numerous people helping me make this happen. I love the world of fashion, costumes, and design and I can't imagine doing anything else.”

Soyon is also head designer on another one of Fox’s hit TV shows, American Idol. Soyon’s work can be seen again this fall as she brings her fashionable flare to season six of So You Think You Can Dance, just after completing season five this summer and supporting the season eight American Idol tour (including Kris Allen and Adam Lambert).

The Emmy Awards recognize excellence within various areas of television and emerging media. The Primetime Awards is comprised of the Creative Arts Emmy Awards, which will be held Saturday, September 12, 2009, and the 61st Primetime Emmy Awards, which will be held Sunday September 20, 2009.
