EXPO REAL 2006 - European Property Awards again part of EXPO REAL 2006
• Following a successful premiere in 2005, the awards are back in Munich for a second time• 14 awards for top achievement in the European property market
EXPO REAL 2006, the 9th International Commercial Property Exposition, will once again be the forum for the presentation of the European Property Awards. The awards are organised by the British trade magazine Property Week, in cooperation with EXPO REAL. This trade fair for the commercial property sector takes place from 23 to 25 October 2006 at the New Munich Trade Fair Centre.
A total of fourteen trophies will be awarded for achievements in the areas of development, investment, innovation, management and consultancy in the real-estate sector. The accolades include ‘European Deal of the Year’, ‘European Office Developer of the Year’, ‘European Property Personality of the Year’ and ‘European City of the Future’.
The presentation ceremony for the European Property Awards 2006 is to be held on 23 October 2006, starting at 7.30 p.m., at a gala dinner in the Hotel Bayerischer Hof in Munich´s city centre. The organisers are expecting key property personalities from across the continent to attend.
The premiere of the European Property Awards in 2005, presented in the International Congress Centre Munich, was attended by 600 international property professionals. The title of ‘German Property Personality of the Year 2005’ went to Dr Eckart John von Freyend, Chairman of IVG Immobilien AG. As European Property Professional in 2005 the jury chose Paul Marcuse, Chief Executive Officer of the London-based AXA Real Estate Investment Managers.

EXPO REAL
EXPO REAL, the 9th International Commercial Property Exposition, takes place from 23 to 25 October 2006 at the New Munich Trade Fair Centre. Since its premiere in 1998 the event has developed into one of Europe´s leading trade fairs. It presents a platform for international projects, networking, investment and finance in the real-estate sector. All the main real-estate markets and locations are represented here, and the key players in this global industry turn out in force. An extensive conference programme offers an overview of current trends and innovations in the real-estate market. In 2005 EXPO REAL was attended by 1,415 exhibitors from 35 countries and 17,598 visitors from 60 countries. The statistics for EXPO REAL are independently audited on behalf of the Gesellschaft zur Freiwilligen Kontrolle von Messe- und Ausstellungszahlen (FKM), a society for the voluntary control of fair and exhibition statistics.
