Time for System Integrators to ditch TAPE Backup Offerings

[Hong, Kong, Aug 11, 2009] Magnetic tape has been the primary solution for company’s in-house on-site data backup over the past two decades. As technology is advancing, there are many better backup solutions in the market to replace tape. However, it is ironic that some system integrators, who supposed to be in the vanguard of technological advance, hinder the adoption of new backup solutions to small and mid-sized businesses in protecting their own incomes. Magnetic tape once was the best backup solution available in the market for small and mid-sized businesses. But that was years ago, while a computer might only have a 500MB hard-drive.
