New York Fashion Week Initiative Breaks International Brands Into USA Market

Now in it’s third year, Nolcha will showcase American and international independent fashion designers in New York City on September 14th -18th 2009 at Nolcha Fashion Week (NFW) hosted at the iconic Bohemian National Hall in association with Czech Republic Consulate General, which includes more than 32,000 square feet of space.

The Award Winning event has rapidly become a home for emerging fashion talent to exhibit collections and introduce their brand to the New York fashion market. The landmark venue will house runway shows in the magnificent ballroom, an accessory exhibition in the spacious delegate conference room, cocktail parties at the upscale bar as well fashion business seminars in the 70-seat state-of-the-art theater.

Designers continue to recognize the growth and business opportunities of the Nolcha platform in both New York City and London; with the first event in New York in 2007 showcasing 22 designers, and the lineup for the upcoming event has more than doubled, with over 50 apparel and accessory emerging brands participating. Featured designers include: Jessica Joyce, MinnaK, Nadia Nour, Pizzuto and Siskova.

New to the schedule is the Ethical Fashion Preview at the Carlton Hotel on September 14, 2009 supported by Aveda, Bel Esprit Showroom, Clarins and Starbucks. This event will spotlight fashion designers who create collections using environmentally friendly materials and processes, and manufacture their collections respecting fair trade and fair wage principles.
