We all remember that feeling: Rushing back from school like something is itching inside of our body so we can play again in our top-of-the-line bran new (low-tech..) classic gaming console.

Whether you had a Nintendo Entertainment System or a Sega Game Gear console, a Commodore or a Nintendo Game Boy, or heck- maybe you were still a kid when you got your first Playstation- it's the same feeling what so ever: The thrill that caught you every time you got a new game and you couldn't quite do anything else until you finished that game.

Donkey Kong:

Awesome game straight from the beginning - with its super fun sound track the minor explanatory of why the hell you are fighting a giant gorilla on tilted plates as Mario (?!)

So this is why- A giant Gorilla (King Kong referenced, you guessed it right..) has captured and kidnapped the princess (she really needs to take some self-defense lessons, jeez..) and again, it for Mario to save her from the evil gorilla and get everything back to normal. The story behind the tilted plates that you'll need to run on is that the gorilla has jumped up and down on it (while it used to be flat) and so made the road tilt in various angles, making it hard for Mario to save the princess as the gorilla keeps on throwing rolling bombs at him and what not. Sounds fun right? You bet your life it is!



Super Mario Bros.

While Donkey Kong is another twist in Mario's love life, the original story of Mario and Luigi which bursted into our classic game consoles was about two Italian brothers who took an oath to defend, that's right, the same princess from a bunch of turtles (Koopa) and their king, a half dragon half turtle named Bowser (or King Koopa). Endless tunnels and jumping over Koopas, as well as mushroom picking (because what's the best way to get bigger and stronger in a split of a second? that's right! Just take your magic mushroom Mario!) will eventually lead to the ultimate fight for the princess against Bowser. You'll have to see for yourself if you are up to the task. Needless to mention that this game is probably the ultimate retro gaming holly grail and the mostly referred as the best game of all time, despite it's being one of the oldest ones around.



PacMan

Pacman is one of the first arcade and gaming console hits who really got world famous and viral in a sense that it is still such a common game that pretty much everyone around the world is familiar with. The game is pretty simple in its way - Pacman is a yellow rounded thingy that is trying to eat whatever it is that its eating and while it does it you're supposed to get away from these not scary-at-all ghosts- and that's pretty much it. As simple as it sounds, this game is so awesome and to our humble opinion it's simplicity is what makes it so addictive and agelessly fun.



Legend of Zelda

The Legend of Zelda, another antique retro gaming console all time favorite, is a game in which Link, the main character, is called to save princess Zelda (can you spot the repetitive motive around these games yet?) from the captivity of Gannon, The bad guy in this story. According to the legend of this ageless game, many years ago prince darkness Gannon stole one of the 'Triforce' with power (Some sort of a power that needs to be kept by the good guys). Princess Zelda had one of the Triforces with wisdom. she divided it to 8 units to hide it from Gannon before she was captured. it is up to you to find the 8 units as Link and find princess Zelda. Get to it!

Space Invaders

Originates in Japan and the oldest game in this list, Space invaders was invented in 1978, as an arcade game which got numerous of different version throughout the years and was an inspiration for countless other fixed shooter games like this one. In this game you'll play a space craft defending it's ground from a space invasion of both space creatures and alien spacecrafts aligned in rows and you must shoot all of them down before one of them meets the ground you're defending.
