The IMDS service provider tec4U from Saarbrücken, Germany has extended its wide-ranging offer of workshops and training sessions by online-trainings. Since the beginning of the IMDS, tec4U gives lessons regarding to the technical and operational handling of the system, fitted to individual company needs. As an economic alternative to the conventional face-to-face courses tec4U provides now additional web based trainings. This allows teaching participants worldwide without time-consuming journeys and high expenditures. The courses effect by web conference and by phone. Due to the desktop sharing, the members are able to take part directly from their workplace and can join in interactively in the shaping of the training session. The range of training opportunities contains basic courses as well as advanced courses. All necessary steps on through to the sending of the material data sheets created are explained in detail and illustrated with examples. In the basic training IMDS will be presented within the frame and general procedures will be conveyed and working with the system will be trained. The participants enter their real IMDS data under the supervision and control of the workshop leader; this way, they learn how to handle the operative system effectively. The course for advanced user addresses associates already working with the system and in need of a recap of their knowledge. An additional service is the “special request” workshop. The requirements of the different customers often vary in their specifications. One customer rejects data that another customer may accept, for example. During this course the trainer focuses the requirements of the customers in particular and the resulting problematic issues. After completion of the course the participants will be able to compile their IMDS data in such a way that a rejection is ruled out. First trainings in Europe and Overseas were already successful executed.
