The Human Chain event is held on 21st January 2018 that is aimed at bringing awareness among the citizens about dowry and child marriage.
Bihar once again gears up to create the world’s longest human chain. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who is presently touring the state, has been appealing people to hitch the chain and make it even longer than the previous one.
“Last year, on January 21, we formed a human chain in which around 4 crore people participated to acknowledge their commitment to liquor ban in the state. This year the government has set to create a human chain against child marriage and dowry. Please be a part of the chain and make it even longer than the previous one,” he appealed during his conferences at Lakhisarai, Munger, and Jamui.
Bihar ranks second in the country, after Uttar Pradesh, in dowry-related cases.
