After months of tantalizing sneak previews, California jewelry designer Carl Blackburn is set to launch his highly-anticipated Neo Classics™ 2007 Couture Collection at the JA New York Summer Show*. The introduction is the latest success for the revivalist designer, who continues to blend the best of classical influences with the contemporary joie de vivre of the modern woman. Born from a family of jewelers, Carl Blackburn devoted over two decades to the industry before establishing his own studio in 2003. With surprising speed, the designer has established his company among the United States’ most talked about design houses—while advancing the lustrous reputation of platinum diamond jewelry from coast to coast. At the same time, Blackburn’s thought-provoking essays for international magazines have elevated him as a world-wide spokesman for sustainable luxury and a strikingly original figure in the industry.

A symbol of master craftsmanship, the Carl Blackburn brand received national media attention in the Spring of 2004, when two of the designer’s platinum rings were featured on the cover and inside the Better Homes and Gardens Weddings issue. Since then, his diamond eternity bands and bridal jewelry have been among the company’s best selling items. These range from garden bands that pay homage to the exquisite history of the English garden to Edwardian and Art Deco style rings.

In September of 2005, Carl Blackburn licensed his entire range of vintage-inspired designs in the US market to his trusted North American distributor Abacus Jewelers, who re-branded the line as The Beverley K Collection. The popular collection is now distributed to more than 250 US jewelry stores under the Beverley K brand—while internationally the collection remains largely under Carl Blackburn brand management. This strategic move allowed the designer to keep his global brand intact, while facilitating an entrance into the high-street brand arena of American couture design and international haute-joaillerie.

With the debut of Carl Blackburn’s Neo Classics™ , the purpose-driven designer, an avid outdoorsman, has reached but one more plateau in his life’s journey. Says Blackburn: "I’ve always felt a profound responsibility to the women who wear my jewelry. That means continually searching for the most brilliant diamonds and precious gemstones we can for their pieces. Carl Blackburn distributes its couture lines to more than 300 premier jewelers throughout the United States and worldwide.
