TransWare offers translation for Opentext ProVision data to Visio, ARIS, Sparx and many other tools

TransWare America Inc. is specialized for translation tools and services to convert EA and BPM models and diagrams. Opentext ProVision database and notebook can now be translated to various other modeling tools like Microsoft Visio® or Software AG ARIS®. The translation comprises all modeler types including the meta-data and graphics of ProVision.

The translation for example of Opentext ProVision to Microsoft Visio® allows the seamless migration of complete ProVision installations into the Microsoft world. The ProVision models will be fully translated and mapped 1:1 into the widely used Microsoft Visio tool. As Microsoft Visio® is very familiar for both IT and Office users it is acknowledged as a competitive alternative to costly and more complex modeling tools like ProVision, the more so as it provides a fully equivalent representation of the original models and diagrams.
The translation comprises all custom data and symbols of the ProVision configuration. The resulting deliverables in Visio are similar to the ProVision originals in all aspects of meta data and visual appearance.

In addition, TransWare offers the so-called BPM X® Designer tool as an optional Visio® add-on that comes with an unique synthesis of intuitive simplicity in business diagram design along with the rigid enforcement of process modeling standards, ensured with an intrinsic control of consistency of modeling languages. Other scenarios are the translation of Opentext ProVision models to Software AG ARIS projects using the specific features of the ARIS modeling tool. For “Sparx” (shorted term for the tool Sparx Enterprise Architect) the UML and BPMN modeling languages are used to map the Provision modeling languages. Meaningful scenarios are for example the mapping of ProVision workflows to real BPMNTM 2.0 models for use in tools like IBM Blueworks Life or open source BPMN tools.
