The Galapagos Islands official name Archipiélago de Colón, located 970 Km’s west of mainland Ecuador were made famous by the English naturalist Charles Darwin in the mid 1800’s. Re-discovered in 1911 by the American archeologist and explorer Hiram Bingham, Machu Picchu has become one of the top tourist attractions in South America. The attraction to Machu Picchu is different for each visitor, but the intricate Incan architecture, the incredible history and the magical location is a lasting memory for all.
