Teeth Whitening
Teeth whitening is a process whereby teeth that are discoloured or yellowing can be lightened by several shades. The process removes teeth staining with teeth-whitening chemicals, which are safe to use by dental professionals.
Teeth discolouration can occur for several reasons; it could be staining from food or drink or smoking, it could be that the dentin in the tooth darkens or gets a yellow tint or it could be age-related yellowing. The treatment you are recommended will depend on the severity of the discolouration and the results the patient would like to achieve. Ceramic Inlays
Tooth-coloured ceramic inlays and onlays can be placed on the back of the teeth where the patient chews. The inlay fits within the tooth area, whereas the onlays cover the whole chewing surface. These inlays and onlays are tooth-coloured so are not noticeable. They can be used to conserve tooth structure and can strengthen the compromised tooth.
Invisalign
The Invisalign teeth-straightening system is removable and uses near-invisible teeth aligners. These aligners should be worn for around 20 - 22 hours per day for best results but can be removed for eating, drinking, brushing and flossing.
The aligners are custom-made to your teeth, and the patient needs to get the new aligner to wear every few weeks. This process moves the teeth into their desired position.
