WOBURN, MA - June 23, 2009 -- Innov-X Systems, Inc. continues to extend the reach of XRF by introducing its Omega Xpress XRF analyzer with breakthrough Silicon Drift Detector (SDD) technology for superior high speed material sorting and 100% Positive Material Identification (PMI) for typical and challenging metal applications.

The Omega Xpress couples an ultra high resolution SDD detector with a safe, yet powerful 40 kV / 40 Watt X-ray tube, delivering the fastest, most precise and sensitive analysis available today in a handheld X-ray Fluorescence (XRF) analyzer for metal and alloy applications.

The Omega Xpress provides rapid chemistry and grade match; many alloys in one to two seconds. It also:
- Provides precise analysis for Al alloys, Ti alloys, red metals, cast stainless, high-temp & Ni/Co superalloys
- Delivers accurate PMI of C and low alloy steels; FAC and other corrosion indication
