Expressionist Artist David J. Padworny Featured at Buchanan Museum Art Exhibit

The Buchanan Museum of Fine Art opens Front Street Exhibit featuring the Figurative Expressionist Art of David J. Padworny.

The Buchanan Museum of Fine Art is pleased to announce the opening of its summer Front Street Exhibit featuring several works created by figurative expressionist artist David J. Padworny. The Front Street Exhibit is the Buchanan Museum's most widely viewed installation, with several thousand daily viewers.

David Padworny was born in Norristown Pennsylvania in 1976, where he studied and graduated from the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore. Mr. Padworny currently lives and works as a professional artist, with his primary studio being located in Baltimore, Maryland.

Often working in a very thick impasto style as a component of a very distinct signature style, Padworny works are wide ranging in terms of execution, as well as subject matter and medium, with works widely distributed in galleries and private collections worldwide.

With a realistic likeness rarely being a primary artist objective, Padworny's subject matter initially appears to be static in nature, featuring minor distortions of figure and forms. However, upon closer examination of the Padworny oeuvre, the viewer soon discovers that the resultant subject matter primarily serves as a catalyst to an underlying message, often evoking strong viewer responses.

About the Buchanan Museum of Fine Art

Recognized as Southwestern Michigan’s largest public art museum, the Buchanan Museum of Fine Art is focused exclusively on the conservation, preservation and exhibition of historic works of American and European art. Underwritten by private investment and the volunteer efforts of Southwestern Michigan citizens, the Buchanan Museum Collection is housed in the nationally recognized Collins & Weaver Opera House (circa 1867).
