About the Book:

About the Author:

L. J. Greatrex was born one of three siblings in a small village in the Midlands, having only moved around the same village three times with just a small break when living in West Kirby on the Wirral. L. J.'s career began with General Electric and progressed through to the financial sector of the steel Industry, spending the most recent years with a classic car parts company and today as their Financial Health Consultant.

Over many years travelling the globe with family and friends for pleasure, the ideas developed and used in the Hackers series (which includes Conscious Revenge, Payback, Just Deserts and Without A Doubt), have been in part attributed to these experiences; that and a vivid imagination has helped create the characters and situations in these three novels.

With a bottle of Southern Comfort and a jug of hot water, the hacking began in earnest.
It was nearly midnight before the first glimmer of light into the scenario appeared.
“I think I have it,” he said triumphantly. “They use similar methods to the genuine traders but with a subtle difference. When financial transactions are completed for each day, the crafty buggers split the resources into several bank accounts using computer automated timed transfers, which are cleverly divided again by varying percentages, some ending up legitimately for taxation purposes into their company bank accounts, with smaller but still significant amounts moved via Grand Cayman into Swiss bank accounts in the name of Ventniek Associates, who are registered as agents.”
“I can’t believe they trust each other enough to transfer the balances into just one account,” I added, fascinated by how professionally he had established the facts.
“If I dig deeper, I feel sure I will find they have divided the spoils again as not even family leave these vast amounts to be ‘divvyed up’ around a table,” he laughed. “I will download the transactions then check for the final resting place of the money. This should complete the disclosure for the South African Revenue Service (SARS).”
