Gleistein Ropes goes to METS 2017 in Amsterdam with new and improved solutions for the international marine leisure industry

Gleistein Ropes presents numerous highlights at METS 2017, the world’s largest marine equipment trade show, including Alex Thomson’s lines of choice from on board of HUGO BOSS made with Dyneema® SK99 and the specially-developed innovative lines deployed by the successful Danish Olympic sailing team. The latest GeoYacht catalogue showcasing the full range of Gleistein’s solutions for the marine leisure industry – and now incorporating the full sailmaker range – will also debut at the industry trade show and be available to visitors. METS 2017 takes place at the Amsterdam RAI Exhibition and Convention Centre and runs until 16 November. The Gleistein booth is located in Hall 1, Stand 256, as usual.
Gleistein continues to uphold and extend its reputation for delivering the optimal solution for every marine leisure cordage demand at METS 2017. Product highlights featured will include those now added to the latest instalment of the expanded GeoYacht catalogue, being unveiled at the industry trade fair, including:
• RunnerTwin noveni made with a core of unbeatably strong Dyneema® SK99 to provide ultimate performance as proven by the Alex Thomson on board of HUGO BOSS
• RunnerTwin Olympic made with a Dyneema® core and an innovative triple fibre cover for outstanding grip with optimised abrasion resistance, developed especially as a competition sheet for the Danish National Sailing Team’s successful medal-winning bid at the Rio Olympics
• Discover – a completely revamped, dinghy sheet now made with a coated, load-bearing Dyneema® core enabling it to be stripped as required for lowest weight while retaining its exceptionally grippy attributes
• DynaOne® black – delivering the renowned DynaOne® steel wire replacement characteristics in a pure, through-dyed black colour and made with 100% Dyneema®.
For the first time, the new GeoYacht catalogue will also incorporate Gleistein’s complete sailmaker range, which encompasses specialised solutions such as: BolTwin – made with 100% Dyneema®, specially developed as a high-performance luff line and precisely attuned to the performance and elongation characteristics of laminated sails for regatta and super yachts; and RollerTwin – specially constructed to enable endless furler lines with no bulging or losses of strength in the splice zone.
Trade fair visitors will be the first to have the opportunity to pick up a personal copy of the new GeoYacht catalogue, which is being delivered to METS right off the presses. Clearer and more concise than ever, the catalogue will also feature numerous handy tips, including a special section on optimal mooring practice. The Marine Equipment Trade Show 2017 is taking place 14-16 November at the Amsterdam RAI Exhibition and Convention Centre. The Gleistein booth is located in Hall 1, Stand 256.
