WHY:
Goodwill and GoMobile Advertising are staging a mock-protest during the famous Seattle Folklife Festival, May 22-25. "Protesters" wearing head-to-toe Goodwill outfits will encourage patrons to "Free Your Wardrobe", "Eliminate Waste, Save a Shirt" and "Fight to End Outfit Dumping" in support of Goodwill stores. They will be complementing the protest with Goodwill coupons for in-store deals.
"The Folklife festival represents a free-spirited nature, and we wanted to connect with this unique demographic by utilizing guerrilla marketing at it's purest. A mock protest is an energetic, interactive way to show support for Goodwill's model of operation while making a splash on the streets of Seattle," said GoMobile Marketing Director, Ryan Moss.
