Bengalis have an insatiable wanderlust. In keeping with their passion for new lands and newer adventures, Bengali literature is peppered with interesting travelogues. To celebrate the Bengali culture and the Bengali’s love for travel and literature, Flying Squirrel Holidays is proud to partner with the Apeejay Surrendra Group and its heritage Oxford Bookstore on Park Street for the third Apeejay Bangla Sahitya Utsav (ABSU), the pioneer Bengali literary festival in the city of Kolkata. The Flying Squirrel Holidays Bhromon Roshik Bangali at ABSU will include travel writers such as Nandita Bagchi, Somen Sengupta, famous travel and heritage blogger Rangan Dutta, columnist Uttara Ganguly and travel professional Shankar Bose who will discuss how travel has shaped the Bengali culture and is an integral part of the Bangali psyche and imagination and what it means to write about travel in Bangla when compared to the big-league travel literature in languages like English.
