W. C. Heraeus at the China Glass 2009 – Glass coating contributes to energy savings

From May 13th to 16th, 2009 Shanghai will become the global meeting point for the glass industry on the 20th occasion of the China Glass international exhibition.
Held alternately in Peking and Shanghai the show is supported by both national trade organisations and international glass associations, and is considered to rank amongst the world’s leading exhibitions.
W. C. Heraeus will be presenting a wide spectrum of products and solutions at the China Glass 2009 (booth E3-555) deriving from the two participating business units of Ceramic Colours and Sputtering Targets. The range is enormous, from decorative materials to top grade glass coatings, precious metal preparations, lustres, inorganic and organic colours and other auxiliary materials for decoration, right through to the newly developed coating materials to increase energy savings in modern offices and residential buildings.
Heraeus stands out as an innovative leader of technology, offering intelligent solutions for the glass industry and in particular making a valid contribution towards the major concern of saving and conserving energy and reducing emissions. Take, for example, the metres long flat and rotatable targets that Heraeus produces for the functional coating of architectural glass. Window panes are coated extremely thinly, even to just a few nanometres, which serves to reduce the heat loss from the building. As a result the energy costs are lowered, and vital energy is conserved.
By means of competent and individual advice combined with the use of stylish exhibits the leading experts in precious metals hope to once again convey their technological know-how to the many visitors and media representatives.
Last year 738 visitors from 89 countries took advantage of this platform to introduce their products and systems. Over 30,000 visitors were counted which only goes to underline the significance of this trade fair, most particularly in Asia.
