Press release from: CLEAN

Clean, an award-winning integrated branding agency, today announced it was selected as the agency of record for the Charlottesville Albemarle Convention & Visitors Bureau (CACVB) after a competitive process. Clean will support greater Charlottesville, Virginia-area tourism marketing efforts through brand strategy, creative, media, and digital services, as well as public relations as required. The CACVB is the official destination marketing organization for Charlottesville and Albemarle County, Virginia.

Located two hours southwest of Washington, D.C., the Charlottesville area is home to Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello and the University of Virginia, both of which have been designated UNESCO World Heritage sites. Other historic attractions in the Charlottesville region include the former homes of Presidents James Monroe and James Madison. A thriving community with a unique culture and history, the destination boasts one of the longest pedestrian malls in the country, as well as a vibrant arts and live music scene. Nestled alongside the Blue Ridge Mountains and serving as one of the gateway destinations to the Shenandoah National Park, the region offers picturesque farmland, scenic vistas, and outdoor adventures for all ages such as hiking, cycling, and water sports. With an acclaimed 200-year tradition of winemaking, Charlottesville was named one of the top wine destinations in the world, and the area offers more than 30 wineries, along with thriving craft breweries, artisanal cideries, and several distilleries. Proclaimed “Locavore Capital of the World” by Forbes Magazine, the destination has been a leader in the farm-to-table movement for decades.

“Charlottesville’s charm perennially ranks it as a must-see destination for all,” said Clean CEO Natalie Perkins. “The region has an enviable quality of life, a wonderful college town vibe, and a world-renowned culinary and arts scene, and we are so proud to help showcase this iconic destination.”

“We look forward to working with the talented team at Clean to craft innovative tourism ideas and inspire travelers to choose Charlottesville and Albemarle County for their next vacation, meeting, or social gathering,” said Executive Director of the Charlottesville Albemarle Convention & Visitors Bureau Kurt Burkhart.

Charlottesville is the latest addition to the agency’s travel and tourism client portfolio, which includes Raleigh-Durham International Airport and well-known North Carolina destinations such as Boone, Wilmington, Wilson, and beaches including Wrightsville Beach, Carolina Beach, and Kure Beach.
