Spring fashion show reveals students' talents
Music will be pulsating, models will be stunning, and cameras will be rolling when The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale's annual fashion show hits the runway this June.The Renaissance Hotel on 17th Street Causeway in Fort Lauderdale, FL, will heat up on Sunday, June 14, 7pm, when The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale's 10th Annual Student Fashion Show presents "Untitled Revolution,” a sizzling night of fashion and fun.
The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale’s fashion show not only highlights and features the talents of the college's Fashion Design students with models strutting along the catwalk in one-of-a-kind garments, but also demonstrates the skills of students in other departments including: Digital Filmmaking & Video Production, Broadcasting, Photography, Visual Effects & Motion Graphics, and Web Design & Interactive Media.
The event is usually standing room only and sells out quickly. Tickets can be purchased in advance and are $20 each, $30 at the door. Contact gprahael@aol.com.
The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, established in 1968, and now celebrating 40 Years of Creative Careers, awards Bachelor of Science and Associate of Science degrees, as well as diplomas. Programs currently offered are: Advertising, Art of Cooking, Baking & Pastry, Broadcasting, Culinary Arts, Culinary Management, Desktop & Graphic Design, Filmmaking & Video Production, Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising, Game Art & Design, Graphic Design, Illustration, Industrial Design, Interior Design, Media Arts & Animation, Photography, Residential Design, Visual Effects & Motion Graphics, Video Production, and Web Design & Interactive Media. The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale is approved for the training of veterans and eligible veterans’ dependents and is authorized under federal law to enroll non-immigrant alien students.
